Another Day?

Its Monday. Yesterday morning Ashley realized she had left her only set of car keys at her aunt and uncle's house, about an hour away. We had day plans and figured we'd go at night - and so the day went and night followed and the plan ensued. We listened to the comedy channel, on the satellite radio, on the way up, laughing all the way. As soon as we got back in the car after seeing her uncle I felt strange, drained and sad with anger. I couldn't quite place why. In a relationship there is always something going on as two people seek to balance themselves in relation to the other. But I went deeper and drew on my history of like feelings and situations. What I came out with was a deep and true understanding of how sensitive I am to energy. The real importance of Energy Capsule training became real to me. I dug a little further to realize why I never really felt fully enveloped by my depression; it was never mine but the family's that I felt. There were a few more realizations but this was the most pertinent.
As we work to understand how we can manage and utilize our energy more effectively, I find this discovery / revelation extremely important to my growth in so many ways and I feel a relief to finally answer and tie off some loose end questions that I've never fully bothered to explore, I just always figured them inexplicable. I feel renewed in spiritual strength having drawn on my brain's strength training through Dahn practice. I will march on with a sharper blade of decisiveness as I grow in to the place of master.

Energy is Important

So very important. I have been training hard for the last couple of months and I'm finally coming to the "Great Wall" the point we all hit when we start to ask ourselves "just what the hell am I doing?"
My life is crashing around me which is not bad because it's a humbling experience reminding myself just exactly who or what I look like and what that energy brings from the world around. I am reminded of the Bible passage cautioning us to be aware of the log in our own eye before we start picking splinters out of someone else's eyes. So this crashing was like getting the wind knocked out of me -- I really found it hard to muster the energy to even eat lunch today. My family came to the center again and I gave them a class. It was a relief my brother and father are in need of this practice so I modified the exercises to be lighter on them as beginners. For me it was a perfect relaxation and opening, allowing fresh ChunJi Ki Un energy to fill my body and refresh my state of mind.
Just after lunch I checked my email and found a note from Ilchi Lee reminding us about self reflection and the value of not getting entangled in emotions while evaluating ourselves. His words hit home with a soft caressing punch. I revisited the note after my family left and found the words totally empowering.
By refreshing and moving out stagnant energy I am able clearly relate to the message of self watching with an open mind and heart.

A Day In the Park

Sunday 11.4.07 a group of us convened in the Rockefeller State Preserve for a short jaunt and some Dahn Mu Do style exercise. The fresh air was exhilarating and through the walk those that could keep their focus used the time for Jang Saeng Walking meditation, enhancing the inspiring autumn color; refreshing the mind and the body.

It was the second time the Bedford Hills Dahn Hak Yoga center had visited the park. Utilizing the time in the simple standard fashion - to enjoy nature in its many aspects and to also connect ourselves to it. Some prefer to sit, bask and soak, in the glory and amazement that is our world around us. Reflecting through the mind of the myriad memories that become the rich depth, breath, and height of our existence.

Allowing the majesty of the intricacies of life to hold them in wonder. Others can't help but to allow the energy to flow through them like water over a dam in the height of the rainy season. Pouring forth words, postures, gestures, and tones explaining the plight and ridiculousness of the entirely complex and confusing tapestry that life is.

Some are inspired with happiness and freedom and the only demonstration is to run with arms wide and a chest full of tasty autumn air; the damp leaves, wood and pond water.

For us it was a healing experience. We have a community here in the Bedford Hills center, all are welcome and your place is only designed by your desire to reach out to others. So simple and so easy we enjoyed the company and didn't dawdle nor were we hasty. As always there is much for each of us to do for what we've prioritized our life for, but here we came together to share our energy and time. Graciously fulfilling ourselves and each other enjoying the contact with nature and our world.

Prepare yourself

So I talk about the power of the mind, self help is out there, we offer yoga but what is really going on? Everywhere I turn there are events for raising awareness, saving the earth, help our community, donate blood. So many different ways to make a difference in the world and things are happening and we all would choose healthier over not healthier. Why do so many people resist? We can all make excuses till the day end but really is there anything more important than health?

As I begin my afternoon training with my compatriot and with the master a defiant anger wells up inside of me. He asks me join in the group and I willfully resist without making eye contact, pretending I didn't hear him. Again he requests and again I deny him. I realize to late that I've allowed my selfish anger to rule my actions and now I am going to have to face him. As a good master he wants to know why I would be so insubordinate. I look for the easy way out but there's no chance and the frustration pours out. I never thought I would fall prey to the usual student anger for ignorance of the master's method. I've always prided myself on understanding the principle of Master, that the method usually exceeds the student's comprehension. I didn't foresee that I would expect the master to be perfect and more then a human.

It is our ego and expectation of what life should be that separates us from healing ourselves in light of what is. As Americans we always demand proof before respect. Maybe it happens in other cultures too, but I know the U.S. and we don't take any one's word for nothing.

We continued our practice after a simple rebuking but it took me a whole hour to release my attachment to my anger. "Who is this petty emotion serving?", I finally asked myself. Because I was so busy holding onto that emotion and not letting our energies connect I missed out on the essence of my training. There will be a next time but that moment is now lost and the time wasted in one aspect. In another I have learned a good lesson the hard way.

The Kids

Every time I teach at RAHS (Ridgefield Alt. High School) I wonder if the trekking back and forth for the volunteer 45 min class is worth it to them and me. Just a curiosity as different advisers have different ideas about where placing your energy is most important.

There was a new girl in the school yesterday and she was givin' me the "prove it" eye. The rest of the students know the drill and they do enjoy that I'm there for whatever reason. I called the students together and asked them to please stand up, the new girl only joining when she noticed she was the only one resisting to at least stand with the group. (some of the students will humor me by standing with the group for the gym credit they get, but then that's as far as the intent goes - it gives me a laugh 'cause I did that when I was in the Alt. school).

So I lead them through some easy stretching, using the ones I've learned that yield the greatest oohs and aahhs from any crowd. This girl is still half assin' it not really believing in any of the usefulness - can't say I blame her, the important part of our practice is to experience otherwise who are you opening yourself for?. She is at least brazen enough to question the value of dahn jon tapping and some of the other stretching.
This class the students are requesting some meditation, most of them use the time to sleep - but our practice is about relaxation and if you're sleeping, you're relaxed. So I lead them into breathing - feeling their chest. slowly expanding the awareness to the arms and eventually down to the palms and back to the lower abdomen. After about 5-10 minutes of guiding the children's breathing and mindfulness of its presence and movement I have them raise there palms off their knees for Ji-Gam. There are only about 5 kids, new girl included cause she wants to see what I got, that are sitting at this point (the rest are resting there eyes and body). Slowly bringing their hands together to feel the energy. Her hands closed the gap to about an inch her eyes lit up as she felt the unbelievable. Her back straightened as she continued playing in disbelief, she checked eye contact and I reassured that was it, her energy, that she felt. Back and forth and expanding and contracting she felt her Ki Energy with delight.
We all stayed in Ji-Gam for a few more moments and then I led them back out of meditation and we concluded our session. The faces on those who focused were brighter and even those who just join in a peripheral way walked away a little lighter. It takes time for the jaded to trust and I respect that. It was watching her eyes light up that reminded me that my 45 minutes is worth it to me to see wonderment born.

HEALER
I love being a healer! When I was little I wanted to be a pediatric polminologist - children’s lung doctor, because I grew up having asthma. Now at the Dahn Yoga Center to be able to help people using thousands of years old techniques to balance their energy for healing!! I’m excited. I really love that my day consists of taking care of people in a proactive form. Western medicine and technology are dynamic and when combined with the natural, the healing process is something I didn’t know if we’d ever see but I had always hoped would exist. It makes so much sense in my mind for a healthier world and I’m so happy to be a part of a frontier combining wisdoms into a new standard of living for health peace and happiness in a logical progressive way. I picked up the Principles of Brain Management by Dr. Ilchi Lee, fascinating of course. I can’t wait to finish it and then pass the book on to my family for their development.

Peace and Empowerment.

This is your day

Take hold of this day. It is yours. Your body is not you but Yours. Your mind is yours contained within the neural networking of Your brain. You create your reality. Take responsibility for it. This responsibility is not a drag, it is the greatest and most liberating step you will ever take. When we choose to accept ownership of our life we find the expansive capacity to actually do anything we want in any way. All fantasies are true nothing is beyond potential and the only limit is what you set in your mind. We all hear voices and have gut feelings that guide us, choose what it is that you will listen to. Remember when you were little and you believed anything was possible? Remember a time before cynicism? Ask why it is that you allow yourself to be pigeon holed by your own opinion. This Dahn Yoga practice is about you and what you can do for yourself. Heal yourself. This practice is all about YOU not compared to anyone, don't look around the room at who can do what, at that point you're giving your energy away. Focus in on yourself "I am all that matters here in this moment." You can save your kids or pets, husband, wife, plants, .....whatever -- all of that comes after you are healthy enough to do everything you can for them without ever saying I'm just to tired today. You can do anything when you can heal yourself. Any other promise is only a gamble. What can you be 100% sure of all the time without question? There are not to many but when you take hold of your life with full conviction you will know that it is you that is manifesting your reality anyway that you want it. Dahn Hak offers every program for anyone. It is expensive but so is everything else, shoes, clothes, wine, vacations, tickets, cars, homes, pets... How many things do you spend money on to escape the feeling of life? Do any offer the guarantee of health and mastership of life? Dahn yoga is for you, so you do not have to escape, or get away to relax. Dahn yoga is a path to feeling the chaos of life as a steady discernible stream of refreshing energy every moment, every day, anywhere.

Peace and Empowerment
come feel life.

PBM

Power Brain Method training, pretty much is the best thing you can do for yourself. I only recommend it to persons who really accept the idea of nothing is everything. If the mere idea raises conflict in your mind this isn't for you. But if your mouth begins to salivate the sweet taste, denoting congruency with Tao then don't waste anymore time.

It leaves me with an interesting sensation; we did seemingly nothing but sit and talk, however in review I've stepped through the doorway to a larger universe. I've done all kinds of self help. I've heard all the sayings, read the quotes, my whole life has been self help for the myriad things we all need help with but in the end its all information to process. This training cuts to the quick and deletes all information and replaces it with one fact: We are none of the images we create about ourselves. When I stopped trying to feel and be something or someone and actually felt for myself what what I am with out saying no i'm not or yes i am. I felt the essence of nothing and from that, can be anything. I haven't learned how to shape shift (yet) but I do understand how to open up to the mountain top experience while walking to the car from the grocery store. This training is the culmination of practicing to seperate me from my emotions. If you suffer from depression (I did for a long long time) and are ready to give up everything, this is for you. Only when you will sacrifice all ideas good and bad can you truely accept the reality of nothing is anything - EVERYTHING.

Peace and Empowerment.

Vibration

Its Friday night and the class is overflowing with energy from this day. The kind of fall day when the fronts change and the soggy ground is dried by the sun and wind. The gusts whip the gold and orange leaves from the ground and trees into a tizzy - whirling dance while the trees themselves sway and bend to a groove only heard by those attuned to nature. With the tasty cool autumn air nip at your cheeks and nose the invigoration is almost unavoidable unless you concentrate on being a scrooge.
The vibration class is carried away with Tommy's unbounded child devilish energy and Master Hun can't help but embrace the charge, pull it in and amplify it back to the students, and the dance takes over with laughter and glee. The members bend, sway, and contort like the trees thrown by the unseen but easily felt Energy of the Earth.
The music is somehow more powerful as the bass hits, the heart grabs the rhythm for itself and the melody bounces like the smiles and toes around the room. Connected through an inexplicable charge akin to being in love this group of people are sharing in a joy well saute after and not easily found. Our community is tickled and comes in and out of the giggly fun for different classes all sharing the love of their lives, on different days.
Tonight each of us is a star. Everyone burns brightly and the energy warms the hearts of all. Uncontainable the members' hearts are exploding -- the shells of shyness are cracking and falling to the ground now as the hearts raise and fly with sunshine fury of all things goodness. CHUN JI KI UN!!! =D

Today

Today is your day. Not nobody else's. Take a moment and enjoy the breeze on your cheeks and hands. See the blue sky and think to yourself,

HERE I AM. NOW. I AM.

Reach for the sky, stretch out and know that you

ARE.

The very real moments of life are only about now and here nowhere's else can you be. Enjoy. =D

What is the function of the various brainwaves?
It is well known that the brain is an electrochemical organ; researchers have speculated that a fully functioning brain can generate as much as 10 watts of electrical power. Other more conservative investigators calculate that if all 10 billion interconnected nerve cells discharged at one time that a single electrode placed on the human scalp would record something like five millionths to 50 millionths of a volt. If you had enough scalps hooked up you might be able to light a flashlight bulb.
Even though this electrical power is very limited, it does occur in very specific ways that are characteristic of the human brain. Electrical activity emanating from the brain is displayed in the form of brainwaves. There are four categories of these brainwaves, ranging from the most activity to the least activity. When the brain is aroused and actively engaged in mental activities, it generates beta waves. These beta waves are of relatively low amplitude, and are the fastest of the four different brainwaves. The frequency of beta waves ranges from 15 to 40 cycles a second. Beta waves are characteristics of a strongly engaged mind. A person in active conversation would be in beta. A debater would be in high beta. A person making a speech, or a teacher, or a talk show host would all be in beta when they are engaged in their work.
The Brainwaves
The next brainwave category in order of frequency is alpha. Where beta represented arousal, alpha represents non-arousal. Alpha brainwaves are slower, and higher in amplitude. Their frequency ranges from 9 to 14 cycles per second. A person who has completed a task and sits down to rest is often in an alpha state. A person who takes time out to reflect or meditate is usually in an alpha state. A person who takes a break from a conference and walks in the garden is often in an alpha state.
The next state, theta brainwaves, are typically of even greater amplitude and slower frequency. This frequency range is normally between 5 and 8 cycles a second. A person who has taken time off from a task and begins to daydream is often in a theta brainwave state. A person who is driving on a freeway, and discovers that they can't recall the last five miles, is often in a theta state--induced by the process of freeway driving. The repetitious nature of that form of driving compared to a country road would differentiate a theta state and a beta state in order to perform the driving task safely.
Individuals who do a lot of freeway driving often get good ideas during those periods when they are in theta. Individuals who run outdoors often are in the state of mental relaxation that is slower than alpha and when in theta, they are prone to a flow of ideas. This can also occur in the shower or tub or even while shaving or brushing your hair. It is a state where tasks become so automatic that you can mentally disengage from them. The ideation that can take place during the theta state is often free flow and occurs without censorship or guilt. It is typically a very positive mental state.
The final brainwave state is delta. Here the brainwaves are of the greatest amplitude and slowest frequency. They typically center around a range of 1.5 to 4 cycles per second. They never go down to zero because that would mean that you were brain dead. But, deep dreamless sleep would take you down to the lowest frequency. Typically, 2 to 3 cycles a second.
When we go to bed and read for a few minutes before attempting sleep, we are likely to be in low beta. When we put the book down, turn off the lights and close our eyes, our brainwaves will descend from beta, to alpha, to theta and finally, when we fall asleep, to delta.
It is a well known fact that humans dream in 90 minute cycles. When the delta brainwave frequencies increase into the frequency of theta brainwaves, active dreaming takes place and often becomes more experiential to the person. Typically, when this occurs there is rapid eye movement, which is characteristic of active dreaming. This is called REM, and is a well known phenomenon.
When an individual awakes from a deep sleep in preparation for getting up, their brainwave frequencies will increase through the different specific stages of brainwave activity. That is, they will increase from delta to theta and then to alpha and finally, when the alarm goes off, into beta. If that individual hits the snooze alarm button they will drop in frequency to a non-aroused state, or even into theta, or sometimes fall back to sleep in delta. During this awakening cycle it is possible for individuals to stay in the theta state for an extended period of say, five to 15 minutes--which would allow them to have a free flow of ideas about yesterday's events or to contemplate the activities of the forthcoming day. This time can be an extremely productive and can be a period of very meaningful and creative mental activity.
In summary, there are four brainwave states that range from the high amplitude, low frequency delta to the low amplitude, high frequency beta. These brainwave states range from deep dreamless sleep to high arousal. The same four brainwave states are common to the human species. Men, women and children of all ages experience the same characteristic brainwaves. They are consistent across cultures and country boundaries.
Research has shown that although one brainwave state may predominate at any given time, depending on the activity level of the individual, the remaining three brain states are present in the mix of brainwaves at all times. In other words, while somebody is an aroused state and exhibiting a beta brainwave pattern, there also exists in that person's brain a component of alpha, theta and delta, even though these may be present only at the trace level.
It has been my personal experience that knowledge of brainwave states enhances a person's ability to make use of the specialized characteristics of those states: these include being mentally productive across a wide range of activities, such as being intensely focused, relaxed, creative and in restful sleep.

Brain Respiration

Breath in........Breath out.............. Breath in paaaaallllllmmmms .........................and so on. Each time we enter the Ji-gam segment i get totalled stoked. all of the training is neccessary and co-dependant for true benefit. But ji-gam thats the games LET IT BEGIN!! i play with energy!! ANYONE? anyone else excited by the fact that your world just opened up? i can feel the energy i emit. I test it all the time all differant places now. how does it feel when i do this or that. after a meal, before sleeping -- anywhere. Like being a jedi. I feel the force flowing through me. just by breathing and releasing into the pure JUST FEEL mind set.

Its more then Meditation, although its a focus and through that focus i lose the linear sense of conciousness. Its a mindless mindfulness. Everything the sages have ever spoken about regaurding just being. but in this version there is something amazing, an extension of myself that i was unaware of.

The ability to use my mind. To expand my conciousness in a very real and sober way. its tangible to the awakened senses. CONCIOUSE EVOLUTION - synergy because i am no longer just the sum of my parts but my parts become mine. That which the body can do with out an explanation is becoming mine. The force of life to grow grass through asphalt is no longer a wonderment but accepted as empowerment. Awaken Brain and Breath. In.......... and out............

The Sale

We laughed. We had a Bar-B-Q. We napped (or maybe it was just me). We practiced Dahn Mu Do. We ate cookies, and sold a couple too. And we sold some donated goods. Yes all in all The Bedford Hills Tag Sale / Bake Sale on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd went well. Saturday we got unexpected rain and so we closed down early. Sunday the clouds had parted and the Sun shone beautifully all day and so the goods walked off easily. By the afternoon we decided to take the show on the road and packed Olga's car with the remaining stuff and trekked down to Port Chester, where we suspected our eclectic collection would be well received. We dropped the selling price to $1 for anything and it flew out our hands to the happy public. It was a long day but we finished happy and strong and our scholarship fund for YEHA / Phoenix grew a few hundred dollars larger.

Stay tuned in for the members greeting card design, coming up in October. We are asking any and all to participate with any and all talent. We will print out postcards and greeting cards to sell to members and the general public starting mid Oct. I look forward to presenting the talents to the world and to see the our members express themselves.

Also coming up is the 50/50 raffle -- 50% of the purchase price of a raffle ticket will go into a prize money purse and the other as a donation to the scholarship fund. We will have a drawing every month at the friends and family healing night (which will become monthly now because its so much fun.)

see ya soon. :)

Keeping the Mind

Amy DoowooNim made a good point to me reguarding the school program, the students do hear the information it just takes time and patience for it to settle in.

A steady stepping of jaeng saeng walking with mind and heart. Perserverance. All trials serve to grow the soul that is why we create HSP in every moment because it is our soul's desire to live this life with the ego we have. Our ego creates the friction that our soul learns from. So when i feel doubt i will remind myself not to loose my mind like a deer in headlights but to graceful move to the other side -continue what i set out to do when all was calm and i could clearly see where it is that i wanted to get to. The other side of the road didn't disappear i'm just blinded for the moment and something is coming at me that i didn't really expect.

Push yourself to do more then you think you can. Recall those times in the past when you did and use them as evidence and support, that your possibilities are far greater than you think. Every moment is a choice -- feel the weight and reality of what you choose at any moment. Do not waste time being distracted by the static noise of your life. Tune in and focus past the noise, into the depth of where it emminates from. Become aware of life in infinate fascates -- beyond our favorite cliches is the awareness of the reality of the cliche the simple rich and abundent infinity of the form of life.

School Daze

Once again Tuesday rolled around on the weekly run and so i dutifully trekked up to Ridgefield CT to the Alternative High School for the weekly class i teach. Don't get me wrong its a duty because i committed to it and i committed to it because i believe in the Dahn Hak Vision. I believe in helping these students and i believe that in a beauractic world where everyone wants proof before trust that this is a vital avenue to actualizing the vision. But Man when people don't want to learn its difficult.

Just lately (interestingly enough) someone posed this thought to me: Buddha was sitting under a tree one day worrying. A disciple approached dismayed that his enlightened master would be worried about anything. The sight shook the disciple to the very core and he insisted on knowing what in the world was goin on with the master. Buddha said, "My worry is not your worry. I do not worry about food or clothing or shelter or companionship for i am one with the universe and all is provided."
"Then what worries you so, master?"

--At this point my friend asked me "do you know what he said?" of course all i could do was stare blankly. I had no clue why an enlightened master would worry about anything all things are taken care of inately. So i stood there like a deer in head lights, "no what?" -----

Buddha said "I am worried for all of my beloved disciples. How can i convey the wonder and simplisity of enlightenment so that all of you may understand it?"
This left the disciple like a deer in headlights.

As a Dahn practicioner dedicated to the cause and organization i don't bother myself with to many concerns at any great length. Yesterday i left the class completely lost. On the one hand i was happy because this means oppertunity for growth. On the other hand, how do i help a thirsty horse drink from a river if it does not understand that the water will quench her thirst?

It Has Happened

Yes it has.

dahnyogacgi.wordpress.com

is the region's blog spot. I started it on behalf of the Healers in the CGI region. We're takin' off. SO GET YER RUMP OUTTA DA SLUMP!!! and COME ALONG on a FANTASTIC TRIP. Give us pictures, hope, encouragement. Post up some ideas in the comments section. Give us your two cents or even six..
Pass these addresses along to friends and family listen and report their reactions. Help make a change in the way Dahn is presented to the world. Blogs were created so your voice can be heard (seen).

Keeping the Party Going

Today i'm opening a new blog for the CGI region. Stay tuned and i will post an update (of course) for access.
Saturday afternoon Rosanne Healer-Nim and I spent 3 hours in a New York and Northern New Jersey Healer meeting. It was a brainstorming session for bringing more HSP to our communities and support for one another as we each seek to fulfill our roles. The goal to is to use the Dahn Foundation to Extend Dahn Hak practices into businesses, schools, and government. The ideas and plans are many and multi directional.

I see the Dahn community affecting change not neccessarily desperately but with the same no holds barred tactic of use any and all routes to bring this to the people in any way shape or form. The energy is tremendous and the drive is strong.

It was an empowering afternoon, Healers were pushed to take charge of direction and thrust of the American Movement. A key move in keeping a profound and radical idea from becoming an institutionalized and bore. GIVE THE POWER TO THE PEOPLE; in some ways this in itself is a novel paradigm.

As the engines warm up i'm excited for the growing entity we're all co-creating, be you "just a member" or a person with a desire to take action reguarding your personal state of affairs and the affairs of the community, we all contribute. With little opinion we all rely on feeling the expierience of Dahn Hak Yoga and its positive effects in our lives. Stay Connected, just typing a few positive words you add to the HSP of the nation and the world. Comment on everything, if you never utter a word its hard to know what you're thinking.

Our 3rd place winner, Debbie is in the middle, and her prize, a book of her choice, Brain Respiration.
Our 1st place winner, Ramon and his daughter Elena. His prize was one free healing with Master Hun.
This is Rosanne Healer-Nim doing a "15" minute massage for our member Biagio DoowooNim.
It was a good time. As assistant manager to Hun JiWonJanNim, I was involved in more of the background work and did not get to participate in the healing part of the night. I was able to bask in the warm glow radiating from everyone's face afterwards. We played some simple games that elisited beautiful smiles and bright laughter right off the bat. As part of our games segment we tested the group with a sensory perception exersice, Milk, Juice, Water.

We formed three groups each with three cups filled with one of each of the liquids. We gave everyone a chance to feel the energy of each one while viewing the contents. Then we had them close their eyes and we switched the order of the cups and covered the tops with paper. Each person had 1 minute to perceive the contents of the cup through Extra Sensory Evaluation.

It took about 3 rounds to distinguish our 3 finalists. Then our finalists went through 2 rounds to determine the out come of winners. Our 3rd place winner was a daughter of one of our members, who had never tried this exercise before. 1st place went to a new member who only started a few weeks ago and also had never attempted a similiar exercise. 2nd place went to a member who was at the HSP Olympiad but missed out on the sensory perseption exercise. It would seem just from this outcome that its about clarity and confidence, just believe in what you feel.

We had a great turn out for the event and the food was good. People smiled and the ensuing conversations were engrossing. Every participent left with a smile and a full stomach and master Hun and I felt the night had been a healing success for all.

High Schoolers are fun

I just returned from the Alternative School - so much fun! The students had a tons of energy although it was all totally up in their heads. Just about all of them had huge smiles and plenty of laughter to go around. I don't remember a quiet moment through out the whole class but it was a first time for doing any type of yoga for just about all of them so I didn't mind the excitement. Its been about 10 years since I was in school and I have forgotten what the "Breakfast Club" really means. Being an Alternative school the student body is comprised of those characters and a multitude of variations from that movie. Having become aware of themselves and being lost in the mix of the regular high school these people have applied to a school that undestands, the boy caught up in the jock role even though its not him, it gives the drop out grundge punk a chance to get to know the beautiful girl, it lets the shy quiet girl blossom into a socially able person, and gives the nerd a chance to become socially adapted to people outside the realm of esoteric theorized academia. These are the born rebels of the next generation. People who want to fight a system of homoginization and are just looking for how to personalize the revolution. I am excited to be apart of their lives and offer the expierence of Dahn Hak as an addition to their growth into adulthood. Chunjikiun - Hong ik ihn gong.

Family Healing Night

Tomarrow night is a family healing workshop and potluck party. I love food especially homemade food from other people. Big smiles and relaxed people make for a happy time too. Right now I am heading out the door to teach yoga to the students at the Ridgefield Alternative High School, who are so excited about it they have volunteered to give up their lunch time for the class. Stay focused on you Dahn Jon.

AAaaahhh Sedona

A start

Today we open our blog for the first time. I just returned from Center Management Training in Sedona Az. Full of vision and energy I do bowing and meditation five times daily, Intestinal exersices before lunch. After lunch I spend 1 hour in energy meditation. Each day I preform a minimum of 1 healing for our members. Later in the afternoon I prepare advertising strategies, monthly parties for the members to enjoy, and special training classes to keep the members interested in the vast array of healing techniques and energy uses. We as a whole in the Dahn Hak community are very excited by the extent of our growth world wide. We all look forward to presenting the art of healing to anyone eager to learn and could only be happier for all who walk into our centers in search of a healthier, happier, more peaceful life.
See you soon.
